The Young's Blog
The boys are getting into music lately and have been dancing to some new music!
The boys have been playing baseball this Spring. Grant is on his preschool team and Blake is with some kids from Carson's preschool. Grant got a ball to his eye one game but it didn't look too bad the next day. That was lucky!
We went over to the Bennett's after a baseball game and the kids had a blast playing together. Claire and Brady are in the same class at daycare and played so nicely together.
Blake went home with Corbin one afternoon when the bigger boys had basketball camp. Jess said they had a blast playing together and from the pictures it looks like it!
Claire is a very opinionated little girl. She knows what she wants and doesn't want and isn't afraid to let everyone know. This is such a good quality to have but not a full quality to raise a child with. ;-)
Grant went to basketball camp this summer and the mascot was there! Knox and him got a picture. Grant loved the camp and loves basketball!
We took the boys to Adventureland and they loved it! They said it was the best day ever! They loved the rides but were nervous about the big roller coasters. Maybe next year!
Our babysitter, Courtney, graduated. We are excited for her but sad she won't be able to watch our kids anymore. She was great with them and they loved her! Hopefully, she can watch them over her breaks.
The boys are taking a ton of swimming lessons to get them competent to swim on their own. The first session was a private lesson with the WDM park and rec. Grant got up and went off the diving board at the end of his first lesson. I was impressed and he was so proud of himself!
Blake went to Safety City with Carson this summer. They had a blast together and it was so fun to watch him at the end of it.
Nana has been watching Claire a few days this summer. Claire loves to avoid her naps so her and Nana got to take one on the couch together.
Claire love this guitar and dancing! She is so cute to watch!
For Father's Day we took the kids fishing. Fishing is hard with this age. It takes a lot of patience and that is hard. Everyone caught a few fish and it ended up being a good day. Then we did a scavenger hunt so that Greg could go biking for his fathers day present! I am glad it was nice and he was able to get away!
Grant went to the Brock Purdy camp with Tyler. Grant had a blast which is all that matters. Greg said it wasn't worth the money and we won't be doing one again, but I am just glad Grant enjoyed it.
Another couch nap after the refusal of a nap in her bed! I do enjoy these snuggles while they last though.
Such a rare moment. The kids playing nicely around each other without fighting! It might not last long but still had to capture this short moment!
We had SO many tornadoes this spring. One week we had the sirens go off 3 times! There were a few really scary ones. One was right by our house but missed us. Grant was sick but we all went into the basement bathroom. Another one was this scary funnel cloud outside our house. I was with the boys at swim lessons when the sirens went off and Greg sent me this picture. Luckily, it didn't touch down and the boys and I stopped at Nana and Papa's until the storm ended.
I took the kids to Howell's to play and pet some goats. Grant loved the goats but the other 2 were more hesitant. Howell's has a lot of things to do so it was a fun excursion!
I have been working on my sourdough! It is a process and it still needs a lot of work but I am proud of my attempt!
