We started Grant on cereal this month. Grant wasn’t too thrilled at first. It was fun for Greg and I to watch, though. We tried oatmeal cereal the next night and he enjoyed that quite a bit more. By the end of the month, he is pretty good at using the spoon. Baby food will be up next!
Grant officially started daycare this month. Greg and I were both nervous with how Grant would do with the transition and he did awesome! I think he loves all the attention from the other kids and Cindy does great with him. We are so relieved he is doing well! Makes dropping him off a whole heck of a lot easier.
Grant and I were able to visit some of our friends. We took lunch over to Steph and the twins one afternoon.
He also went to visit his friends Cullen and Cade.
It is crazy to see the size difference. The twins, Cam and Vivi, and Cullen are only a few month younger than Grant. They grow so quickly!
Aunt Randi was able to come over one evening and give Greg and I a much needed date night. We were very appreciative. It is so nice to get away and have to time to talk, just the two of us. We went to Firebirds and tried out Hurts Donut. Both were delicious!
Greg had to go on a work trip to Nashville the first week of April. I was nervous about being alone with Grant all week. It was also Grant’s first week of daycare, so I was hoping it wasn’t too much of a transition for him. He did great! He slept every night, all night. That was my saving grace to get through the week with my sanity. My parents helped out a ton as well. As they say, it takes a village. Greg’s flight ended up getting cancelled and he came home Saturday morning, a day late. Boy, were Grant and I excited to see him!
Grant’s first day of daycare!
Grant is officially able to ride in the stroller as a big kid! He took his first stroller ride without his carseat. He is able to explore the big world during our walks. There is just so much to see. He looked so cute in the stroller, but it also made me a little sad. Time is FLYING by. He is just growing up too fast in our eyes.
Grant weighed in at 17lb 10oz. We love our chunky boy so very, very much! He is getting to be so much fun. We are excited to see what this next month has in store.
Mama trying to get all the smiles she can out of this little cutie!
Enjoying a beautiful spring evening on the deck.
