March 2023

Claire had her surgery to remove her cyst from her right eyebrow on the 2nd.  I was super nervous since this was the first surgery for one of my kids that wasn't just ear tubes.  She did amazing!  She went back to the OR and didn't even cry.  She was not happy when she woke up and stayed that way until about 30 minutes after getting home.  Claire and I cuddled on the couch and once she started eating and drinking she was back to her normal self.  The site looks great and hopefully not too big or noticeable of a scar.

The next day Claire was with Nana and Papa while Greg and I worked.  She had so much fun playing with them!  And I think they had fun too ;-)

About a week after her surgery, Claire got a cold which led to pneumonia.  She had a high fever for about 5 days and we took her back in and they are treating her with antibiotics.  She still has a cough but is on the mend.  We are so happy this happened a week after her surgery and we loved getting all the extra snuggles!

Claire loves to sing and dance.  They always turn on Baby Shark at daycare when she get there because she loves it so much.  She loves to sing her favorite songs and her favorite of the moment is Moana!

Claire's first pony tail! It doesn't stay in very long and she doesn't love it but it is so cute on her.

Grant lost his other front tooth!  He did NOT want it pulled out and it was hanging on by a thread all day and finally came out. The tooth fairy forgot to take his tooth and we couldn't find the money right away but we found it! All Grant wants for Easter is his two front teeth!

Blake loves to be the teacher and read books to us! He even likes to read to Claire.

We recently discovered Claire can count to 10!  (Thank you daycare) She is also a daredevil.  She decided to go down the slide head first all on her own.  Greg and I are in trouble as she gets older!

Grant learned how to ride his bike!  I worked with him a few weeks ago and knew he was close to learning so we went out one nice Saturday when everyone else was sleeping.  It didn't take him long to figure it out.  He decided he wanted to try without me holding on and figured it out quick!  He was frustrated with himself at first because he couldn't make it all the way to the end of the street and kept going into the grass.  He figured it out after a few more tries and was very proud of himself!

Claire is behind in her words so I am always looking for ways to help her.  She is slowly getting better and I think part of it is that she doesn't have a chance to talk with her older brothers around.  I found this new youtube channel that helps kids learn how to talk.  Her name is Ms. Rachel and she is great and I can already tell a difference in Claire just after watching it a few times.  The boys even like watching her.

A bunch of sicknesses have gone through our family this month.  Claire got sick first and it was a cold that turned into pneumonia.  Blake got it next and had the same thing.  He also was very lethargic and tired.  He would just lay around on the floor with his finger in his mouth. He got a rash shortly after that so he either had antibiotic allergy or a viral rash on top of the respiratory issues. We gave both kids albuterol to help.  And here I thought we were done with this nebulizer!  Greg got sick next and had a 103 fever one Saturday and then followed with GI symptoms that Claire also got.  We are hoping we get over this and the warm weather (finally) shows up so we aren't sick anymore!  Grant and I have luckily stayed healthy through it all.

One of Claire's stitches didn't dissolve and so I had to take home scissors from work and cut it out.  I was worried it would get infected.  She did amazing and it was no big deal cutting it out.  And the scar looks great.  It is still red but I know that will go away over time.  I am relieved.

Grant is on Hive Pack Hoops and it has been a frustrating season for the team. It was fun to watch Grant score a free throw though. He was so proud of himself!

I caught Claire playing in with the hot wheels cars while playing in her brother's Captain America mask. So cute!

I tried to make cinnamon sugar sourdough bread and it still didn't turn out like I thought. The kids still wouldn't eat it which was my goal. AND it was a lot of work. So fail on that part but hoping to try bagels next and I have heard they are easier and better.

Carson invited Blake to go to the pool with him and Blake had a blast (even if the picture doesn't show it!)
