March 2024

The boys wanted to dance to the Mario Brothers song and found this one they loved.

I tried my best to do Claire's hair all cute like I see on others.  It needs some work but it was the best I could do with a squirmy toddler!

Blake had Carson over for a play date after church.  He had so much fun having a friend over to play!

Claire and Dad cuddling watching Elsa or Frozen together.  Claire always likes to cuddle a little after nap.  She needs some time to wake up before playing and we love this time.

Claire has decided lately she loves sleeping on the floor.  We were hesitant about it because we thought for sure she would be coming out of her room multiple times a night but she did well with it!  She even woke up in the morning and read her book until her light came on.  This only lasted a few nights but we let her do it and picked out battles!

Grant had really good spring conferences with his teacher.  He is doing really well in school and Ms.  Galligos said he is ready for 2nd grade already!  She also said he has a special voice when he is the quarterback so we had to hear it.  He wants to sound just like Patrick Mahomes.

School celebrated Dr. Suess week for his birthday and Blake came home with his Cat and the Hat hat!  He loved dressing up for the week, especially Wacky Wednesday.  He thought it was so fun to wear his shirt inside out and backwards!

Greg's non compete is officially up!  It was something to celebrate so I got him some champagne.  He is still going to be cautious but is another step in the right direction!

Grant still loves Usher and dancing to Usher.  Both of our boys seem to be into that type of music.

Claire put on her cheerleading outfit for Caitlin Clark's conference championship game!  Cutest cheerleader there ever was!

Blake lost his first tooth!!! He was SO excited for the tooth fairy to come!  That tooth had been loose for a few weeks now and finally came out on our way to Nana and Papa's house!

Spring Break was beautiful this year so Grant and I were able to go mini golfing one morning.  We had a fun day and I hope this nice weather sticks around!

We went to Kansas City the second weekend of Spring Break!  We went to an ISU conference basketball game, toured the Arrowhead stadium, went to Legoland, went to Fritz's and swam at the hotel pool!  Greg ended up getting sick a few hours into the trip but the boys still ended up having fun!  Blake loved dancing to the music at the game.  It was fun to watch.  Grant said he likes watching games from his couch because he didn't like the noise or the people.  It was a fun time!

Claire stayed home with Nana and Papa.  They offered to watch her and we took them up on it!  We were initially going to take her but we are glad she stayed home.  It would have been a lot harder having her with us.  She had more fun getting all the attention from Nana, Papa and Uncle Mit than touring a boring football stadium!

Claire is very girly and she loves having her hair done and bows or clips in her hair.  Then anytime I do something with her hair she tells me to get my phone out so I can take a picture of her!  Her hair is so long though and Greg and I are just not ready to cut it yet.  It is just so pretty!

Anytime Greg is on his back the kids run over to him to climb on him like a jungle gym.  He hates it and they love it!

We went to the park one day and Claire loved the swing.  I just love her sweet little giggle.

We did so many different type of eggs this year!  I got this new egg contraption and the kids loved it.  I think this will be our new go to and we will stop dying eggs.  I got some other kits that dye the eggs and even some that make them tie dye but the coloring of the eggs was the true hit!

We went to Auntie Kellie's house for the Young's Easter and had an Easter Egg hunt!  It was a success and the kids loved it.

The Easter Bunny came!  She did a great job hiding their baskets and the boys got new bikes!  They also got way too much candy.  We went to church after that and it was packed.  Then we went to the Chalik's for Easter dinner.  It was a great Easter!

Grant is on Hive Pack Hoops and it has been a frustrating season for the team. It was fun to watch Grant score a free throw though. He was so proud of himself!

I tried to make cinnamon sugar sourdough bread and it still didn't turn out like I thought. The kids still wouldn't eat it which was my goal. AND it was a lot of work. So fail on that part but hoping to try bagels next and I have heard they are easier and better.

Carson invited Blake to go to the pool with him and Blake had a blast (even if the picture doesn't show it!)
